2012
The planning has started, check back for more information......
2011

The theme for 2011 was ‘Fairy Tales and Dreams Come True’. The event was held on Saturday 27th August
The parade again did us proud and after the official opening by Councillor John Stocker, it snaked it's way through the street of Truro,
engulfing the roads and the pavements with the huge rainbow flag. Scores of people took part and many more lined the streets and left the shops in order to participate and spectate.
2011's committee, lead the chair, Neil Hawke provided a well organised and trouble free event for both young and old. 2011 saw record numbers attending the whole event and some truely great entertainment both in Victoria Gardens and in the Pride Party which was held in the marquee on Lemon Quay the same evening.
Along with a fantastically committed group of people in the committee were also a huge amount of supports and helpers, both organistaions and individuals which enabled Cornwal Pride 2011 to be one of the most successful and biggest in its history to date.
2010
Plans for 2010 were quickly off to a good start, Christian Diamond was re elected as Chair and the committee continued to meet regularly to make sure everything was planned so it would run smoothly on the day.
Saturday 28th August 2010. The parade theme was ‘Circus’ and getting bigger every year. The parade set off after a speech by Stephen Gilbert MP there were seven floats taking part followed by the huge rainbow flag and hundreds of participants including The Gay Outdoor Club, YAY! The LGBTQ Youth Cornwall Youth Group, FFLAG as well as Cornwall’s most senior police officer Chief Superintendent Elaine Marshall.

The evening entertainment was headlined by Lisa Scott-Lee from steps with a number of other acts including Rodrigo Moratto, Melissa Totten, and Simon Bailey.
2010 ended with a new committee being elected, Neil Hawke was elected as chair, Christian Diamant was persuaded to become secretary some other familiar faces who had been involved in the first Cornwall pride in 2008 returned to the committee including Sorrell Atkinson and Jayne Bridges. So everything was set to do it all again. Nicky Marlow would be organising the evening entertainment following on from organising the entertainment in the park in 2010.
2009
After a short break the committee held an AGM and plans were put in place for 2009, Christian Diamond was re-elected as chair.
After such a successful first event it was decided to keep to a similar format, more people and organisations wanted to be involved
so on Saturday 8th August more stalls were set up in Victoria Gardens taking advantage of the opportunity to connect with the LGBT Community not only from Cornwall but with visitors to the County as well, proving such an attraction that many hotels and campsites were reported being fully booked for the weekend.
Veteran LGBT & Human Rights campaigner Peter Tatchell joined the parade and mingled with the crowds in Victoria Gardens.
The evening entertainment was headlined by Hazel Dean with MPHO, Kelly Pepper, Andy Scott Lee, Rozalla, Tania as Cher, AJ and The Vanity Girls
2008
Cornwall Pride began in its current format in 2008 after a group of LGBT people decided to run a public open event in Truro. A traditional format of a parade through the City of Truro followed by a party in the Park held in Victoria Gardens and then an evening event in a Marquee on Lemon Quay, Truro.
From the outset no one knew who would turn up or how popular it would be but the dedicated committee chaired by Christian Diamond worked hard, raised the funds and set up everything soon realising that there was a lot involved from getting all the permissions & licences to booking acts and equipment.
When the day arrived, 23rd August 2008, people began to gather on Lemon Quay for the 11am start of the parade which would make its way through the streets of the City of Truro, the theme was ‘Theatrical’. There were a couple of floats and several hundred people
who joined the parade, following a 50 metre rainbow flag carried proudly by volunteers.
There was a small protest carried out by a group of Christians, but most people in the parade past by barely noticing that 20 people had turned their back on the parade.
Helped by great weather everyone made their way to Victoria Gardens which had been decorated for the event, where there were about 20 stalls offering community information from a variety of organisations such as Devon and Cornwall Police who were carrying out their first LGBT PACT survey to FFLAG and many others. There was an afternoon of music and dance with the ‘Gay Gordon’s’ being one of the main hits of the afternoon with other acts like Sweet Flava.
The evening entertainment on Lemon Quay included the Boy George experience and Sonia.
No sooner than Cornwall Pride 2008 was over people were asking about next year, it was clear there was tremendous support for the committee and the event they had organised that had been made so successful by the hundreds of people who had got involved.
