Cornwall Pride began in its current format in 2008 after a group of people from the LGBT community decided to run a public open event in Truro. A traditional format of a parade through the City of Truro followed by a party in the Park held in Victoria Gardens and then an evening event in a Marquee on Lemon Quay, Truro
